General Catalog:

Continuation of 20G:011 (CLSG:2001); focus on reading and interpretation of Greek poetry.

Description:

Continuation of 20G:011/CLSG:2011; focus on reading and interpretation of Greek prose, Josephus, biblical texts, pseudepigrapha, and apocrypha. 

Students learn to read, scan, and analyze Greek poetry (epic or tragedy) in unedited form, but with textual aids. Continued emphasis on improving translation skills.

This course meets with an instructor in a UI classroom as well as via virtual classroom with students from Iowa State University.  The instructor and students at UI will interact with the ISU students via teleconference technology.
